Nice quality stuff fro HLS. Widescreen video is crisp with good colors. Audio is full with great bass. Movie is decent. Its much better to watch this copy than the over exposed CAM and TS releases that have already been released. The only qualm i have with this release is that the colors aren't so vibrant. I think it has something to do with the Telecine transfer. The colors aren't as bright as they should be, but thanks for the good quality HLS!

CATBOX

V - 9

A - 5 ( 9 if it didn't have so many sync issues )

M - 8

EDIT: After watching entire release, it DOES have sync issues. Its OK at the beginning, but comes and goes for the rest of the movie. Some times it is OOS pretty bad. Too bad as the video is top notch.

Goes in and out of sync at various points, I'll wait till a `proper` is released before i watch it.

The quality of this is very good, but "seems" to go in and out of synch a few times. Anyone else? @47:09 for example. Curious if its just my player.
V: 8
A: 7 ??
M: just ok

yes I found it went out of sync a good few times too, does not last too long then bounces back ok in my opinion it does not spoil the viewing.

Yea Goes way off sync from about 48mins then keeps drifting in and out, by as much as 0.5sec in places.

V= 8
A= 4
M= 2 No comment

Yeah the sync is a little iffy in places but drifts in & out, nothing too distracting though.
Video is good, perhaps a tad dark but can be easily corrected

Video is great and it might be TC, but the audio isn't. I don't care about the sync issues, but when I watched it I felt like the audio is in a fish bowl. Nice effort, but it's has me feeling it's FM radio waves desiring fine tuning.

V-8.5

M-7.5

on TV via standalone the audio is excellent its just to bad the sync wanders in and out.....it doesn't ruin the movie but it will earn a nuke

One of the best telecines I've seen.
Great audio - where it works properly.
Can confirm the sync issues, but there's also sound hollowing around the 54 min mark, and then blips in and out a bit afterwards.

Too bad, I would have kept this and probably not bothered with a dvdrip.

Posted by AssKing on 12-21-2007 06:48 PM:

Wow, gorgeous telecine! Haven't seen one with video and audio this great in years; I'd assumed that there were no groups left with the equipment and skill to pull these off.

9/9/10

Video is so crisp and colorful that my wife asked me if it was a DVDSCR. A/R looks perfect.

Sound is loud and clear. Goes out sync--slightly--here and there, but I didn't even bother to fire up VirtualDubMod to fix it. If it really kills you, check videohelp or doom9 for tutorials on fixing the sync issue.

Movie was wonderful family fun. My wife and I loved it as much as our son did and thanks to HLS we now have a copy good enough to enjoy through multiple family viewings. I'd really rate this 10/10/10 if the forum rules permitted it. Great job, HLS!

by far best tc ive seen in a long while as far as the video goes. in fact I wouldve swore this was a dvdscr from watching. the audio had some distortion at loud parts and went out of synch quite a bit (a helluva lot for me) and the movie was pretty cute so.

V: 10
A: 4 (for me synch was off by about .4 to 1 whole second at times varies)
M: 10 (I really liked it alot)

As above the video quality is good shame about the sync issues

A-4 (Would have been an 8 if not for the sync issues )

v:8 good, rare to see a real TC. Video Quality similar to 30 Days of Night a few weeks ago.
a:5 Good about halfway through, then sync issues (sometimes severe sync issues) which fade in and out periodically. Also, they were distracting, no matter what anybody says. At one point there's a pivotal scene near the end and there was close to .5 sec sync delay. Also, a least a few places showed signs of multiple audio sources - the sound quality varied also.
m:7.5 Good kid film, much better than I expected.
