TV output wont fit TV

I have a 42 inch lcd tv that I have hooked up as a 3rd monitor (just for movie viewing purposes) on a second video card. The problem is no matter what resolution I set, the images is too big for the tv (desktop background moves from left to right and top to bottom as I move the mouse toward that edge).

Any way I can get the image to fit, on the tv?

Other specs:
connecting using composite video cable.
tv is full 1080p sharp aquos
2nd video card is ati radeon 9250

I think the maxiumum resolution for Radeon TV-out is 1024x768, so any resolution larger than this will give you that scrolling desktop.

A better way would be to use a DVI to HDMI cable, and set the resolution to 1080p.

my 9250 had a composite output, not DVI. that's prolly the reason you can't get the resolution over 1024X768. i would lower the resolution on the tv, or just change modes from HD to STD. baseband rarely has res over 8X6 anyways.

hey i'll sell you my 9550 for $10. it has a DVI out at least...
