I'm sorry, when Transformers is on peoples top 10 lists for the year, It just shows you how bad this year really was for movies. I hope 2008 is better.

There were a few really good movies this year, but not that many.

2. American Gangster
3. Order of the Phoenix
4. The Bucket List
5. 28 Weeks Later
6. 1408
7. Die Hard 4. Not worthy of a top 10 but this year has bee shit.

That's it so far.

Honerable mentions
The Host, At least it was released in the states in 2007

Movies I still want to see

1. Michael Clayton
2. Eastern Promises
3. Charlie Wilsons War
4. Bourne Ultimatum
5. Across the Universe
6. No country for Old Men

Can add "The Hunting Party" to my list. I think its classed as a 2007 movie, and its very good.

And I also want to see The Orphanage, looks good and if its anywhere near as good as Pan's Labyrinth it will be great.

I liked 1408. I didn't find it scary at all, and I'm a wimp when it comes to ghost stories, but the John Cusak did a fantastic job. Jackson made me believe that place was haunted. It was a good movie. I really enjoyed it.

Transformers was visually stunning. as far as plot? Wait, What plot? There was none. The visuals was worth the price of admission. That was it.

Believe it or not, I kind of liked SpiderMan 3 also. Not great, but decent. Not worth a top 10 place though.

sure, funny as fuck. Watched with a few people, and at the scene at the lift.. everybody turned and looked at each other in painful confusion. Great moment.

Just watched it, wasn't sure to begin with but yeah I actually enjoyed it. The part when the tramp on the underground starts singing when the black guy is coming down the escalator with his guitar made me laugh to fuck.

Just one thing, when they showed the simultaneous funerals, one of a black guy shot while running away with his loot during a riot and one of a white guy killed in Vietnam. What are they trying to say? Are they trying to say they are somehow connected?

Oh and Para, we cannot agree on 3 films in row so please watch Hairspray now and please like it.

Edit:: One small complaint... Bono was great singing 'I am the Walrus' but for me it would have made it even better if they'd got Noel or Liam Gallagher to do it. like here and like here

I wouldn't put it in my top ten, found it quite dark and a little difficult to follow, not what I expected (reminded me of pink floyd - the wall) but thought it was a very good film. Obviously great musical content and arrangements. Will definately watch again though. The Eddie Izzard section made me laugh the most. My lad looked at me as if to say.."WTF?!"

Posted by David Cameron on 01-13-2008 02:47 AM:

Apart from The 300 at the beginning of the year the rest of the year was pretty weak. I reckon I could add another 5 to my top 10 from films that I have seen in the last 4 weeks.

Charlie Wilsons War
Gone Baby Gone
The Hunting Party
No Country for Old Men (despite the shitty ending)
There Will be Blood

Substituting those 5 for superbad, Live Free or Die Hard, Straightheads, Transformers and hmmm gonna have to make it a top 11.

So to 10(11) now is

1.) 300
2.) There Will be Blood
3.) This is England
4.) American Gangster
5.) No Country for Old Men
6.) Eastern Promises
7.) Hot Fuzz
8.) The Hunting Party
9.) Death Proof / Planet Terror (As The Grindhouse)
10.) Charlie Wilsons War

.........After thinking about it, it was good but its not in my top 10... 11.)Gone Baby Gone
