Gone Baby Gone
Perhaps the finest movie to come out of the US this decade.
And it's directed by...Ben Affleck...and stars his brother Casey. No shit. Really it is!
How could that be? Does Affleck really have talent??? Is there more to him than a cheesey grin and riding Damon's talent?
I have no idea. But he's directed a movie that begins well, gets better, then has an ending that's so excellent that it's beyond description. (Obviously the book it's based on has a lot to do with it, but as we all know from bitter experience it really does take someone who knows what they're doing to make good source material into good cinema.)
Literally just seen it and feel inclined to tell the world about it.
9/10.

From skimming movie. Could not ask for much more quality wise. Also 4* movie. Next on my list to watch.
9/9/?
Excellent movie. Kudos to the Afflecks for a job extremely well done. Movie 9.5
Was very good i'm sad to say. I was determined for Ben Assface to make a cunt of himself but I have to admit I liked it, maybe not quite as much as Baha but I thought it was very good.. I would compare it alongside Mystic River as a similarly paced, community based murder mystery and I would say this was better than Mystic River.
Ben Affleck good at directing, who knew, he clearly can't act for shit but people do say that everyone has to be good at something.
It was very good for ben affleck the twat. I liked mystic river more for the acting but It was good.
I am getting pretty tired of the whole new england media focus though. If its not the patriots or the red sox its a steady stream of movies with the same annoying Bawston accents
