My wife and I watched this last night. I haven't seen any of the other versions and found the Repack so I figured I'd download it as opposed to the others.

V: 10 Looks like DVD quality on my HDTV

A: 9.5 - 10. Sound is excellent but it would be nice to have 5.1 surround. I realize this is a screener and I'll have to wait until the retail for surround.

M: 9.5 - Great twist to the "coming of age" movie. Excellent choice of songs on the soundtrack. Ellen Page is great and I hope she has a long career ahead of her.

Yeah, this is a very nice screener, very good quality video and sound. 1 unobtrusive property of message around the 4min mark

A 8
M 8

Edit * LOL had to check the circle/egg shape color logo, it's round on my TV aswell *

V8
A8 (DD2.0 as someone else mentioned)
M7

no menu, but played fine all the way through.

Vid: 7
Sound: 9
Movie: 7

Unoriginal, felt like an 80's Cameron Crowe film with just-waiting-to-get-dated dialogue. Fun enough though.

Anyone else think the ratio looks a little squashed even with this repack?

Vid: 1 (wrong AR even on 2nd attempt)
Sound: 9
Movie: 8 sounded boring but ellen page is pretty sharp as an actress so it was fun watching

@bradzp

Yes, you got that right, the aspect is still off. If you don't really see such stuff because you generally watch wrong TV aspects with your 16:9 telly, you can still easily see it watching the round circle logos like the 'color by deluxe' logo. As for me, it's annoying.

I don't understand where the big problem is. As we all know HLS stole this one (P2P source). The original P2P divx source has an incorrect aspect. However, it's not cropped or anything. It's just like an anamorphic aspect encoded with divx. If properly resized you actually GAIN some quality compared to regular divx -> DVD encoding. Anyways, it is so simple to convert this to a proper aspect @HLS. Just resize it to (avisynth bicubicresize) 720x480 and tag it 16:9 anamorphic in CCE. You'd see that 'color by deluxe' logo would be perfectly round and not EGG like in that repack.

There we go again. Another moron by name "Extractor" rated this DVD NTSC video quality - 1. He still thinks he is rating an XviD release and nothing can convince him that he is wrong. Just forget it...

Jesus, what a really sad person, get a life !!!
I just watched this on my 40" Sony LCD and there is NOTHING wrong with it at all !!
I'm not sad enough usually to watch all the credits at the end of a movie but the " color by deluxe " logo was PERFECTLY round on my screen.

Whatever. I sped FWD to check the logo and it's as round as a German ball bearing. The video looks great, richly saturated and uniformly smooth on my AX200 with 109" screen (You'd think I'd notice?)

Even if the AR were off by some obscure, academic degree, the quality of yjis rip deserves far more than a 1.

Audio sounds fine, albeit DD 2.0 and appears perfectly synced.

I'll be the first to rage on a punk rip, but this one looks and sounds exellent.

A - 8 (Only due to Dolby 2.0)
M - ? (Just skimmed and checked logo)

Dude... clearly you're doing something wrong. This plays perfectly for me, as well as everyone else who's posted. I have no eggs where circles should be. It's interesting that you assume people just can't see aspect ratio issues, rather than thinking that maybe it's you that has the issue. How embarrasing to rant like that, only to find out that you've been spouting shit.

Anyway...
