Ps2 game.

I have a Ps2 game that I burnt that won't work on my Ps2 (using Swap Magic 3.6 with slide card), and I'm wondering if I was to burn a copy of it is there a chance that it might work then? I have yet to try because my DVD-Rs are scarce.

Please move this if it should be elsewhere.

You cheap bastard.

What does a pack of dvd cost in america ? $10 for 100 ?

Anyway , you it might work ive never burnt a game , but i'd assume its like burning a regular .iso , could be a bad disc , bad file... ect ect

So stop being cheap and either burn it again or buy the game.

I'm waiting for my tax return and besides, the game is a beta that was never released publicly.

well first off, your problem is you dont have a modchip. Swap magic is unreliable. If the game is a beta, it may not work at all, since its a beta. Also if ur useing dvd-rs make sure they are half decent, because if your ps2 is kinda old, it will have trouble reading cheap media. So try better dvd-rs, and get a modchip.

I hope that helps.

I use Memorex DVD-Rs and almost always have (and most all have worked, well, when I had a modchip). My chip gave out a while ago so now I have to resort to Swap Magic unfortunately. And the game is a beta, but it DOES work, and know of many people that have played it. Is it possible to salvage my chip from my other Ps2 and put it in my current one?

Fuck...I'm thinking it is a Messiah? I'm not positive though. And I'm not sure if my laser gave out on my console or if the whole system is fried...or just the chip..or...

yea thats a pretty good chip, as far as the media you use, its crap. Dont use it on ur ps2, memorex has always given me problems. Ive had great luck with maxell, and TDK. Also verbatim dvd-rs are good. Make sure you burn at low speeds also, thats very important, depending on how old your ps2 is. If all else fails, then get a new laser or just re-adjust the pots on the laser, theres many tutorials around the net for that.

hope that helps.

I do burn my games at the slowest possible speed and I don't always use Memorex discs, just the majority of my games have been burned on them. Hopefully I can locally get my chip installed into my working Ps2, that would make a world of difference. But thanks for the input.
