AGP video card

Ok, I can't afford an expesive video card. I want to buy a vid card this week, My limit is well under $100, unless I wanted to buy it in a few weeks.

I'm looking at cards. I'm not excluding ATI. I'm willing to give them another go. Here is one I've been looking at. No reviews on it which scare me.

Candyman mentioned the 2600pro which seems nice but the ATI driver support sucks. and is a bit pricey for me at the moment.

Ok, I played Call of Duty 4 on my 6200 128mb card, Yes it played, I can play it with 1152x864 and it runs decent, but not as smooth as I like, but very playable.

That 6200 has been a good card, but it's ageing.

No PCIe isn't an option at the moment. So what do you guys think?

The Sapphire card you listed is a deactivated item. Looks like it's no longer available. Never purchased or used a GeCube. Tom's Hardware list this and the 2600xt as the two best AGP cards available now (as I mentioned to you before) If you're gonna stick with the $100 or under price then this is your only choice. Otherwise you could do a wait and see on the rumor that ATi might be putting out a AGP version of the 3850 which would most likely be the perfect price to perfomance spot for AGP cards.

Still I paid $135 for my 1650 pros over a year and half ago so $70 is not a bad price either. If you have to have a new card now, go with this one.

BTW, got Conflict: Denied Ops and will be installing it this week.

Actually that is a very good card, I have one from that series right now, 6200 128mb agp, fast and runs CoD4. Not great but it runs well enough to play, even at higher resolutions.
