Forum question

Probably a stupid question and may be down to the fact I dont have 10 posts yet Im not sure but....

In the news section for instance I can see there are 52 threads yet when I enter the forum I only get 2?

Is this a restricted area or is it down to my newbie-ness

change the drop down from 30 days to whatever??
