New Site Logo Design Contest and Announcement!

The staff have discussed and decided to let you, the backbone of VCDQuality, participate in the new site.

So, here is The Great Scene Mutiny Logo Design Contest

We are officially starting a Logo Design Contest for the new site. Rules are simple:

1. You can submit as many examples as you like, but each MUST be in a separate post (no multiple pictures in a post).

2. This is not a critique thread, nor are criticisms welcomed towards ANY submission.

3. Any submissions outside of this thread will not be considered.

4. All regular forum rules apply, but with a stricter outlook in this thread. This is a serious attempt to let our members be a part of the new site, and we will enforce the rules with a heavy hand.

5. Contest run is a minimum of 3 weeks, but can terminate anytime after that. Winners will be selected by staff and a carefully selected panel, and winning doesn't mean that you are 100 percent assured of being the new logo, but the winning entry will be featured prominently somewhere on the new site.

Now that the boiler plate is out of the way, design your hearts out!

Size, proportion, file format, colour scheme? Or is it just a complete free for all?

There are no set colors or the like at the moment.

I don't think we've really decided but I'd suggest aiming for something similar in size to the VCDQuality logo at present. The image you attach can be jpg for size reasons but keep a copy of the uncompressed image if we end up using it. Design and colours need to be aesthetically pleasing (obviously) but we also encourage a bit of creative flair if you want to go a bit wild.

The orange can be rough though, if it could be easily themed to some type of light blue and other colors, could be really nice I think.

::EDIT (Look this'll be the last one ok?) Before anyone asks it isn't all original work. Its all vectors so can be scaled to whatever size easily.
