Crisis of Conscience, What Would You Do?
OK,
I think I've just probably had a gigantic stroke of luck.
I signed for a package thinking it was ink for the printer which I'm waiting for and it turns out it's a 32GB iPod Touch which I didn't order, these sell for £330 here in the UK.
On closer inspection it was addressed to somebody else but at my address for whatever reason.
Have any of you had something like this happen to you? Is the vendor or courier likely to ask for this back? If they do what would you say (given that I've signed for it)?
I'm thinking keep the thing in the packaging for about a month and if there's no comeback then just use or sell it and forget about it.
Ideas?
Dupe

Yes exactly the same thing happened to me, except it was a 16gb touch. It had my address on it but some ethnic dudes name. I kept it for a couple of weeks, had a little play with it, got bored with it, then sold it on ebay.
No comebacks
Be happy and enjoy the freeness.

Finders keepers, losers weepers.
If a company is careless enough to lose an item in the first place then they deserve to have it stolen. It's not as if you asked them to deliver it to your address.
shit like that never happens to me!
I ordered something off ebay that never arrived
does that count ???

Ever the pessimist, Gimp Mask is right.
Checked my bank after reading this and sure enough I've paid £329 for the fucker to Game Station in York (I live in Essex). Rung up the bank's fraud people and they've not only cleared the transaction, despite it putting me £230 overdrawn on that account but they've got another 3 queued up to the tune of £600!
On the plus side my card is now stopped and a new one is on the way. I should hear from the bank's fraud people within 5 working days about getting my money back. I've also got a shiny £2000 overdraft that I don't want to make sure I can pay my bills. Would've booked my holiday before I phoned them if I'd known how easy it was going to be!
Well let's hope they're stupid enough to have the rest of what they've ordered delivered here. Can anyone say 'e-Bay'.
