What Gadget have you got your eye on?

FUCK, I gotta see someone about this addiction lol.

keeping with my need for pointless gadgets
I'm feeling the urge for a SlingBox of some sort.
So long as it works with my iPhone its all gravy

but what one to get? theres a few out there.

i think this urge is genetic, i remember my mom getting shit over the years like
a sandwich toaster, Soda-Stream, Juicer, Blender, and some sort of QVC super slicer that sliced diced and took the tips of ya fingers off.

All gone to the kitchen gadget graveyard under the sink.
used for a week or so, then discovered the supposed time saved by using the dam tool
took longer setting the shit up than just doing it without.

nice I approve of that highly, lots of fun features and the fact its linux and endlessly tweakable means lots of fun.

I've been considering building something with one of these: http://www.via.com.tw/en/initiative...rhead/pico-itx/

id love to do something like that, i was looking at the beagleboard which i assume is something kinda similar (obviously its not x86 though, its basically the same hardware as the pandora i think)

unfortuneatly i dont have the money nor the knowledge for such a project though. be sure to post if you build something with that via thing, id be interested to see what you come up with!

Well after a little research i learnt that SlinBox isn't available right now for iphone.

on account of the client needing software.
but slingbox themselves have a proof of concept on a open 1st iphone.

apparently they where waiting for apple to open some sort off SDK and 3rd party app program,
and also a faster iphone was in the works.

Well now as you know all that has come, and apparently its OFFICAL that the SlingBox people are near completion of a dedicated app for the iphone.

For me, this means over 1000 channels LIVE anywhere in the world.
