m - 8 (Started off strong, then just kinda got old, decent movie though)

Also, after the first set of credits on this version before the last few minutes of the movie come back on, with Mike Epps and Will Smith, it is all in Russian. You can hear the line change during the credits before the rest of the film started. Like the encoder thought it was over and left it there. lol

Prefer this one over the Kamera version...the audio is much better on this one than the Kamera version and has more bass to it...Kamera version has a little crackle noise in it...too much treble

This is the release to get, better audio quality, but this has more than a slight sync issue. and probably needs fixing. I fixed it and its now a superb release. if your interested. using an audio editing program such as "cool Edit pro 2" remove 100ms at start, after about 2mins 46sec add (generate Silence) 250ms, at 6mins 39sec remove 250ms and then at 52mins 42sec remove a further 50ms.

To be fair its only slightly out for most of the movie, except for the opening chase scene when hancock says to the guys "you broke my glasses" very noticeably out here.

Anyway great release with very good line audio.

V=9 (very good, typical R5
A=8 (very good line and rated after i fixed sync)
M=7.5 (I actually like this when I saw in the cinema, it wasn't as bad as some reviews i was reading, then again its not your typical superhero movie loaded with lots of action, if your looking for lots of action then look elsewhere.)

I found the sync to be out as much as 400ms in some scenes then snaps right back in the next.

I noticed the switch back to Russian audio at the beginning of the credits, which is a good idea except they contain a short additional scene is then also in Russian. Not to hard to workout what the punchline is though.

Edit: Disregard? Er check the sync in the scene at 55min41sec blatantly off.

A 8 No sync issue at all, disregard the comments that say there is a sync issue. Audio does end during the credits so you miss a 1 min scene, no biggy.

M 6 Starts really well with a few good laughs but, the end is cack

After watching this in the theater and now watching this copy, this is definatly a nice yet under par R5.


The Colors are faded and the movie is overall way to dark. More encoding was needed yet was probably rushed like most the online trash.

V - 6 (Clear even through fast moving scenes), Too Dark and Colors are faded.

A - 8 No Sync issue noticed yet not near perfect.

M - 6 meh it was ok, something to watch ... way to much hype.

Watched it on a standalone (PS3), and I couldn't reproduce the sync problems others noted. Normally I can pick it up easily, but either I'm too tired to notice, or it wasn't there. Otherwise very clear and crisp audio line (does cut out before the credits end, but really nothing missed).

Actually quite enjoyed the movie, typical popcorn fluff, but entertaining. Picture quality on large screen was great. Didn't see it in theatre to compare to, but certainly didn't seem too dark. I thought the colors were more vibrant than some other recent R5's (Smart People, Zohan) - would assume this is a source issue, nothing to do with encoding.
