David Blaine had no idea wgho he was walking up to

this all happenned thurs night about 10:00 PM on church street NYC

me, the girl and a friend were heading home after a night out of getting plastered....i noticed a group of 3checking us out from across the avenue....when they started crossing the street i got ready for a confrontation....turns out that i recognised david blaine when he got within 10 - 20 feet of us

him - "hi im david and im a magician"
looter - "i know who you are....so fuckin what?"
him - "i just want to show you a trick"
kryssy kocktail(as she takes off her headfones to finally comprehend her surroundings) - "youre looking for a trick?"(she didnt recognise him yet...hes lucky she didnt crack him in the mouth)
him - "no i want to do a magic trick for you"
looter - "i dont got time for your shit....beat it... i got work in the morning"
after a few more minutes of him trying to convince us to be on tv he looked like a lost puppy as he wandered away

he shut the cameras down and came back intent on proving to us hes a good magician and we all started bullshitting for a bit....it seems hes filming a special in nyc and wanted some real ny personalities....guess what...he got em...

anyway he banged out 2 tricks for us before he split and signed an autograph for me....too bad he shut the cameras down cause it wouldve been funny to see him getting abused by us on tv

with the card trick i could see the set up....as he fanned the deck he set me up to see the card....it was the only one that paused for a split second.....but he made a quarter bend in the girls hand....that was pretty cool

in hindsight i shouldve made him levatate

i saw mike tyson on park ave in 91....woody allen on lexington ave in 93....jon stewart in a houston st bar...denzel washington while filming bamboozled on park ave and again while filming inside man on hanover st(actually got to see them blow the doors open from my jobsite)....im sure there are others but i care as much about them as they do me

i met orlando jones while he was filming a movie in town, really cool guy, down to earth, got the impression that he didnt want to be there to begin with.

also, steven seagal spoke at my high school about being good and not doing drugs, typical shit......later found out that the reason he was doing it was because he was doing community service for getting drunk and beating up his wife. hah!
