burning .bin .cue
I have tried burning .bin files using nero and CDRWin. They burn fine, and the image is just how it is supposed to look, but they won't play on my DVD player. I've tried both vcd and svcd. If I extract the mpeg and burn with Nero then it works fine. Does anyone have any ideas? Should I bother trying fireburner. It is a pain in the ass to extract the mpeg for every disc I burn.
Thanks for any help
that sounds like a bitch.. I dont have any solution for that one. extracting the mpegs arn't so bad, testing them on your comp before you burn isn't always a bad idea anyway.

What type of DVD player do you have. Not all of them support all the formats. I just bought a Yamaha 520 and it plays everything so far including MP3.
Probably a SONY????
These are really picky about what brand of CDR they`ll play - Princo/Datasafe branded.
On "vcdhelp.com" they have a compatibility check. See if your player is there and check it out.

you know you can burn bin files with nero.
it is not reliable in versions earlier than 5.5.6.4 but in newer versions it seems to work great. just click file/burn image and select the cue file. if your copy only recognizes .nrg files by default you can change that to all files and load the cue file but if that happens it means you have a pre 5.5.6.4 copy and its not reliable.
give it a shot with nero and see if it works, maybe cdrwin has a problem with your burner.
