I know it's interlacing. That comment was meant to be read as "Why are they still there, why didn't they de-interlace?"
They didn't de-interlace (if that is the correct term...)?!?! Wtf!?

Severly Cropped!, this is just a cropped to crap xvid encode, it is the best source avail, but done by n00b's.
Watching on a 50" plasma half the screen is used.
Ever hear of 3:35:1?
Back in my Divx days i was hanging around IRC and made dvd rips for friends using Flask, you can crop all you want, this reminds me of 1999 [bud]
6/6/9
Thanky!
Not sure what the post above me is supposed to mean...
So, yeah yeah this is the source (apparently) of the xvids... which the mvs one looks like crap compared to the optic... and yes yes this is interlaced...
Just grab it.. throw it in dvd-rb ... set to no compression 100% video... go to Settings> Options> AVS Options> AVS Expert Options> and tick the box for Deinterlace With Decomb... it takes like 20 minutes and bam...
Now this thing is worth watching... (hope this really is the true source tho...)
V - 8.7
A - 8 (192k AC3)
M - 8 eh... i liked the 1st one better...

Something Don't Ring True With This. It's Good, Like A Good TS Or Something...Almost Like A TS Of A DVDScr. There Is A Definate Perspective On 'The Property Of' At The Bottom And Noticable On Faces At Times. Also On The Left It Is Brighter...Particularly Noticable On The End Credits. If This Was Released As A Cropped TS It Would Get High Marks All Round. The Sound Also Sounds Slighty 'Hollow' But Is Great.

Picture will look the same on a computer, but when you check it, it'll say progressive. Anyway, when you go to play it on a dvd player, it'll look fine. A dvd player would honestly already make it progressive, but it's nice to ensure that its done on all by using decomb. Anyway, if you WANT to play it on the computer, play it through VLC. Then, go to the dinterlace option, and check linear. Good luck and enjoy.
All movies on dvd are interlaced and will have no artifacts on a interlaced screen (CRT) but you will get them on a progressive screen with poor de-interlacing
Even all the xvid versions of this have jaggies associated with poor de-interlacing and xvids are progressive
Its like someone has filmed a screen with poor de-interlacing and so the artifacts have been captured and are now part of the film itself and cant be removed ?

Hi everyone. I just noticed something that's pretty annoying.
the trailer before the film:

The film:

isn't that a problem? I mean i don't think the screener they ripped it from is that blue
