how to crop avi video

Hi lads, I have been looking for some software that will crop avi video ie: take the watermarks off screeners ect. i have tried a couple but they lose picture quality not exactly what i want. Your help again would be appreciated.

If you re-encode you will lose quality.

If you want on-the-fly playback on your computer, try ffdshow's crop filter.

If using a standalone player on a TV, tape pieces of black card to the screen.

Thumbs up

after cleaning the black tape off of my lcd i decided that was not the way to go so i had a fiddle around with convertxtodvd and to my suprise there is a feature that allows you to get rid of the watermarks ect.
