playing films through a xbox360

After linking up my xbox360 to my pc i am able to view DL films, watching them on my pc ( with a widescreen monitor) i have wide screen on every thing viewed, but on my tv which is linked to the 360 it varies between widescreen and 4.3 is there any reason for this and any ideas as to how i can get the xbox to run it all in widescreen?

what are you using to run it to your xbox? tversity probably?

you can play with the settings all day, but the only thing you really can do is hit display, then screen size, the adjust EACH TIME you start a video. (if you don't have the remote, on the control pad its like Y then scroll over to display, etc...)
