Getting a BSOD on Vista x64?

...even more so, are you running Kaspersky too?

Well, I am and noticed KIS updated last night and prompted for a reboot (which i didn't do at the time). Upon boot up today, I was greeted by a BSOD!!! wtf, haven't had one of those since the old nuke-wars on irc!!

Turns out some bright bastard at Kaspersky didn't test the update properly (and the problem lies with a kl1.exe file). Anyway, got out of it by booting into safe mode with networking, running msconfig and disabling KIS at startup meaning i could run in full fat mode (albeit without any AV) until a fix was released.

Fix is now released, so boot up again in Safe mode with networking, Run Kaspersky as administrator and perform an update (run msconfig and re-enable at startup if you disabled it).

Now running fine, although its a bit worrying that its the 2nd time this year they have released potential pc-fucking updates!!

Just though i'd share this incase anyone else is having hassle.
