-- THIS IS THE DODGY SITE, FIREFOX WARNING, BLAH BLAH thread (http://www.vcdhq.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=82577)
Attack site
I just tried to browse the main page and got the following warning from either Firefox or Google:
"Reported Attack Site! This web site at www.vcdquality.com has been reported as an attack site and has been blocked based on your security preferences. Attack sites try to install programs that steal private information, use your computer to attack others, or damage your system. Some attack sites intentionally distribute harmful software, but many are compromised without the knowledge or permission of their owners."
This should be in the "Site news" section really. I fucked up! Got all excited y'see. But I can't visit the main page without that error. It says google visited the site and spyware was installed without consent....
yea, i'm getting the same.

Just had the same error here.

The worrying thing is that Google, a private company, is able to pass judgement on your browsing preferences.
Since when did Google become emperor of the Interweb.

Just tried it with two different browsers (IE and AOL) and no problem here.
Was getting pop-ups for the first time in a long while but an update to my ad-blocker definitions soon stopped those.
Getting the same here.
Will try updating my ad-block as well.
edit: Cleared cache and updated my ad-block and no love.

you can actually vote on any site.
so if gimp for example had 2 hours to kill.
you keep opening the site then marking it bad
the more people to do this then the results are filtered back to google and marked accordingly
so if the internet police could program a bot to do this, then it wouldn't take long for the red tag to be nailed to the website
then again, i thought 911 was an inside job.
can they do this?

There comes a point in your life when you realise;
who matters,
who never did,
who won't any more...
and who always will.
So, don't worry about people from your past,
there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.
Some of you could try reading what is reported rather than simply guessing and handing out bad advice.

If you have inadequate protection and choose to ignore warnings...

Me too. Same error.
i am using google chrome at the moment but a few days ago i was buying something of ebay and was getting warnings when i knew it was safe.
I went into options and unticked the fucker.
im thinking its the banner ad that contained the malware!? its only firefox ie seem ok, still not good though
this is bullshit, I agree! If I want to visit a site, i don't want any input from my browser on the matter. I don't need a Big Brother browser! Now to find a way to turn this crap off....
Google Advisement
Google has been advising me not to connect to vcdquality, because its listed as an attack site.
My Antivirus (BitDefender) has given me a virus alert (Trojan.Clicker.CM).. Just thought you guys would like to know.
