Media sharing in WMP
Just moved into uni halls, and windows media player has picked up a load of other computers whos media I can access.
One of the computers has a fuck load of music on it that I want to copy to my PC.
Is there any way I can do this, or even identify who the computer belongs to - send a message to it or something?
Do you see any shared folders on it if you go start>run>
then type
\\computer-name or \\ip.address.of.other.comp
press enter and you *should* get an explorer window with any shared resources showing.
If not, you can *try* sending a message to it using the Net Send command but XP machines often have the service disabled:
start>run>cmd (enter)
then type
net send (comp name or IP) "Hey you rock, can I offer you a blowjob for your music - email me at [email protected] or phone me at 1-800-ISUCKCOCKS"
With luck they'll get a popup with the message but they can't easily reply (unless they use the net send command and you have it enabled)
