Best wired/wireless router suggestions

Okay guys looks like after a few months of not getting the speed I've been paying for I tracked it down to my old router a Linksys BEFRS41 which is not capable of handling the larger download speed (15MBps) So I'm in the market for a new router for my cable modem and LAN (shared on 7 computers) and want to get some suggestions from the network experts here. I've been told Netgear and Linksys are two good brands but I'm more interested in specific models or what would be the best. I would like one that overs both wired and wireless since I'm currently wired (CAT5) but will eventually change over to wireless in the near future for one of my systems (and have the option for a laptop later on) So what do you recommend? Price is not a huge option though the best price ie. lowest lol would be in my favor since I don't want to drop a huge amount.

EDIT: Stuck this in the General Section instead of Computer Help figuring it would be seen more but if it needs to be moved not a problem.

I've had various pieces of hardware from D-Link and can't think of a single problem, they did the job I needed. I've not got the model you have linked to, but I have got a similar unit made by netgear, Netgear WNR854T. Its only got four lan ports on the rear, so I just use various gigabit switches to connect the other computers/xboxes/printers/etc.. Price wise for the unit I got mine off ebay and it was very cheap being as it was a factory refurb, ebay link for a usa seller.

All three have a bad name. Linksys being fugly with the latest models.

Netgear has a new linux flashable thingy one.

I personally never had issues with a D-link wireless b.

But I had to move on. Now I got the POS the cable company gave me.

Stick with ones you can use custom firmware on as it usually lets you get much more usability out of your device, check out which routers are recommended by the dd-wrt project as it's a fantastic set of custom firmware thats very simple to flash.
