i love this so far, the only thing else i want in it is the feature to add more then one section at a time, ie vcds and svcds. keep up the good work

i dont like the new trillian. sticking with the last version. i like features in the new one, but too many features i dont like that bloat the program. and it runs horribly slow on my pc.

One time, my cousin Walter got this cat stuck in his ass. True story. He bought it at our local mall so the whole fiasco wound up on the news, it was embarrassing for my relatives and all, but the next week he did it again, different cat, same results, complete with another trip to the emergency room! So I run into him a week later in the mall and he’s buying another cat and I says to ‘em "Jesus Walt, what are you doing? You know your just gonna get this cat stuck up your ass too, why don’t you knock it off?" And he says to me "Brodie, how the hell else am I supposed to get the gerbil out?" My cousin was a weird guy....

I just tried this thing out, pretty damn cool.

Now trillian lets me know the 5 most recent vcd & svcd releases before they're even on the main page

If it could track stats for the forums, that'd be cool. For instance, if it would let you know which threads have unread posts in them.

Good job, X69.

woot nice..:-)

Thanks.

X69 thanks a bunch. Not only does it work but you can break out the individual release areas of the site. Now if some of the other release sites would incorporate RSS/XML feeds everything would be perfect.

X69, have you monitored the site bandwidth as it relates to the RSS feed? Bandwidth seems to be the biggest gripe why other relase sites don't use RSS.

Thanks again!

Posted by X69 on 11-30-2002 07:55 PM:

TheDiggler bandwith isnt an issue at all.. it uses hardly any bandwith at all.. 20 rss feeds are the same amount of bandwith or less than one normal page load.. my only problem with the rss feeds is that the people who use it dont see my banner ads and the banner ads are how i pay for the site.

Interesting, for myself I probably visit the site more often.

Posted by FliCKr on 12-12-2002 02:28 AM:

wow fantastic job on this, very useful.

It won't stop me using the site of course, i'll still come here to check out the details

Its not that hard to code up the RSS/XML threads, I do it on a couple adult sites I run, when new sites are added and I approve em, it parses out the new stuff and people get notified.

Simple matter of parsing out data every few mins, take the new stuff and cat/post it.

Pretty cool overall.
