They won't take my advice

I've told loads of ppl about newsgroups and only one of my closest mates has bothered to try them out.
When I tell ppl that I pay for using it they go all weird.
I outline the benifits eg. almost anything you want you can get at top speed.
Fuck sake I just typed in gone with the wind there, off the top of my head and it's on newsgroups.
You could probably pay $10 a month for a good one.
I suppose some ppl could point to ftp but i tried it and reckoned you would have to have some sort of nice personality to get passwords and alll that so i quickly dismissed it.
Waldo! that was the guy's name on here years ago that first made me try it.
Is he dead?
Anyway why nowadays do people

make big

between

Also, surely, the less people use it the better?

Saying this, I have mentioned it to a few people in work, and one has tried it out. But I really couldn't be fucked if any of them take it up. More tinterweb speed for me

You might get a shitty arsed avi of Gone With The Wind on torrents but you can get DVD9 on newsgroups and if you have 100mb/s connection you can download at 100mb/s.
For approx £6 a month.

I don't like newsgroups, all the files are gargantuin bluray or hd and are at least 4 gigs. I like the scene they keep the quality good and the file sizes small.

Yeah, the 700Mb DVD's are the ones I always get. Why the scene can't release more of them always staggers me.

PS: and why do 24" monitors have to be sooooo big? Why can't we have in a more portable size? Can't believe these electronic giands like Samsung and Sony haven't come up with a solution to that. What a crazy world we live in!

Okay thanks. It was the reference to download speed which threw me.

It beats me how rls grps can find the bandwidth for countless BD rips but not for true DVD9s? I'm perfectly capable of fucking up a menu myself, I don't need a rls grp to do it for me
