U.S. Election Day

Well I did my civic duty earlier and went to the polling place to vote. Of course anyone who knows me knows who I voted for but just in case I held my nose and voted for McCain. Polling place was pretty busy, Ohio estimates a 80% turnout of eligible voters today, one of the highest ever but overall I had to only wait 45 minutes from when I got in line until when I actually began voting (10 am till about 10:50 am). Some places were reporting 2-3 hours waits so I guess I hit my polling place at a decent time. So I have to say not a bad experience and better than I expected.

Who else in the states made it out already today and what was your experience at the your polling place today?

Yep, Gotta agree with you guys. ManCandy, and Puua???? is showing how racist they are by voting McCain.

My father made a few jokes today.

1. It's about time we get some color in the White House.
2. There goes the neighborhood.
3. I wonder if there gonna change the name of the White House to the Black House?

Oh did I mention he's supporting Obama?

Last I checked Obama had 338 electorial votes, to McCain's 156. I bet Obama will end up with 378 by the time it's over.

McCain gave a rather thoughtful speach tonight when Obama became president elect. If McCain would have put more heart into this election and didn't pick Palin as his VP I might have been more apt to vote for him. She scares the fuck out of me. He isn't a bad guy, He is an American Hero. I don't agree with a lot of his policies but I also don't agree with a lot of Obama's policies.

If McCain would have picked Mitt Romney as his VP he would have probably won hands down. McCain stated tonight it was his fault he lost this election, and that fault was/is the Palin Monster.

McCain's downfall was Palin, The end.

Seriously? Who did you vote for?

I unlike most of the American people actually pay attention to what is coming out of the candidates mouths. I don't totally agree with McCain and some of his policies and ideas (most but not all) but who in their right mind would agree with most of the crap Obama has been spewing? What about his recent conversation back in January, that just came out conveniently over the past weekend I might add, about bankrupting the coal industry? Does he even realize we(U.S.) get almost 50% of our electricity from coal? Alternatives are great but until we have ones that work and cost the same or less, what is the point of destroying are current sources?

We just elected a man with no experience (less then 2 years in the Senate) who now owes a HUGE debt to the extreme far left liberals. Fuckin' peachy.

If Al Franken had actually won in Minnesota I would have been moving out of the country.

I hoping I'm proven wrong and he will turn out to be good for this country. But after hearing what HE said out of his own mouth unless he realizes he has to have a consensus thereby not putting into place extreme liberal policies I just don't see it happening.

As they say it took a Carter to give us a Reagan so here's hoping we make it to 2012.

So so close, would've been hilarious.

It makes me laugh to see you write 'see if we make it to 2012', you are aware that the actions of your president over the last 8 years have made you the most hated country in the world, right? And that globally it's seen that you have finally made a right choice? This isn't opinion, this is fact. You come across as someone who doesn't even consider that anything outside of your own borders matters.
