Best films of this year

Seriously is it me or what? There have only been a small handful of goof flicks come out this year. Only a couple of these movies have been great.

The best movies I've seen that came out this year are, Not in any particular order

1. Cloverfield: Great fun but not Oscar worthy
2. The Dark Knight: I thought was brilliant.
3. In Burges: Just got done watching it and I must say great film
4. Pineapple Express: You gotta have company to watch this movie. It was fuckin hilarious though, good movie.
5. The Bank Job: Very decent film
6. Iron Man: I had no expectations, and I thought it was pretty damn good.

I'm sure I've seen a few other films that came out this year.

Most of the films I've watched that were fantastic weren't released this year.

I'd agree with most of your list. Cloverfield was meh though and In Bruges was spoilt a touch by Ralph Fiennes insisting on doing a poor impersonation of Ben Kingsleys' Don Logan. My favourite of your selection would be Pineapple Express, only one film made me laugh more this year, read below.

I'd add Step Brothers because of the above reason, fucking hilarious! I'd also perhaps add WANTED to the list. Apart from the amazingly retarded precog Knitting Loom thing, it still had enough far out stunts and violent action to make it enjoyable.

Saving the best til last.

RocknRolla; loved it. Funny, Violent, Slick and Thandie Newton. What more can a bloke ask for.

Taken - i like revenge movies

Traitor - was decent.

Step brothers - some of it was funny. i like farell

The only Will Ferral movie I even liked was Stranger Than Fiction.

I just got Taken, and Traitor, along with The Way of War, and Shiver

I've tried watching Tropical Thunder twice and passed out both times, I might was not bother with this flick again, lol.

Taken; yeh, Traitor; meh.

Haven't seen Shiver or The Way of War yet. Might try Way of War tonight, not holding out much hope for it though as Cuba Gooding Jr only stars in shit.

He's a decent actor, just doens't get many good movies.

1. Men of Honer: was pretty good
2. Instint: was decent
3. Murder of Crows: good flick
4. Outbreak: Awesome flick
5. As good as it get: Loved it
6. Judgement Night: cool flick
7. A few good men: another great flick
8: Boyz N the Hood: Fantastic flick

Grant it he wasn't a main actor in some of these, but still.

Recent films in which he was the main actor;

Linewatch (2008)
Hero Wanted (2008)
Daddy Day Camp (2007)
What Love is (2007)
Loads more crap
Boat Trip (2002)
...

Yeah he made some decent films in the 90's(not just the ones you listed, theres also Gladiator and Jerry Maguire). Now he seems to have suffered the same fate as Wesley Snipes, Val Kilmer, Ving Rhames and Michael Madsen. Starring in absolute drivel that would shame even Uwe Boll.

Denzel Washington he will never be.

Oh, and Way of War was fucking crap.

Eh, I won't dispute those recent films, I've never seen em.

Uwe Boll, lol. Classic.

Was way of war really that bad? We seem to like a lot of the same movies, So you may have just turned me off of it. I may give it a go, Who knows.

Its a mess of a movie mate. Honestly, its total garbage. Watch it and see for yourself, let me know if you catch any redeeming features. It's attempts at intelligent scripting ranged from constant repetition of the latin phrase 'Carpe Dium' wooo yeah, real deep, to a fucking debate about the morality of war with of all people Osama Bin Laden, who was lying on his deathbed in a makeshift hospital room.

Oh it was bad, laughably so.

Also.. adding to my list of "Used-to-be's", please stand up and take a bow Billy Zane and Tom Sizemore.

Eh, it was an OK movie. There was a redeaming quality and her name is Jaclyn DeSantis, lol. and some of the music was great. I'd give it a 2 out of 4 stars, I guess it was average, or a bit below average.

The main reason it get's a 2 on my meter is cause of the music, I liked most of the soundtrack.

My father would love it, lol. It's right up his alley.

I watched Taken last night and I gotta say that was a BAD ASS flick, Loved it. Liam Neason is a bad mother fucker in that movie. The role fits him also.

Watched Shiver tonight, eh not so much, lol. It was ok until you realize what's going on and it get's stupid from there. The conclusion is kind of gay, I gotta give it a 1 out of 4 stars. Don't bother with it.

Also watched the new Bond last night and I thought that was bad ass.
