Party Poker
Is party poker corrupt?
I heard it was but laughed off the rumours.
But losing out to fuckin ridiculous fuckin things (dunno the correct word)
e.g. i've got 2 jacks other guy (pc) has 2 jacks he gets flush
i've got 2 aces he (pc) has 2 6's (all in) and gets 6 on river.
etc
etc
etc
a quick look on google suggests they are corrupt fuckers
thoughts?
They were probably bad beats or whatever you call them but can these poker rooms be open to coruption?
Every single one is crooked.
You only get straight cards in big money events, no matter what the site.
Guaranteed on Pokerstars that if you're chip lead in a sit and go you can go all in on a 2-7o and you'll get a full house. I've made use of the knowledge a few times.
But on the sunday million, PS's big weekly event, you get straight cards, it can go 4 or 5 hands with high card winning and 20 hands with nothing better than a pair or 2 pair winning the hand. Play a small money event and guaranteed there'll be 4 pocket pairs and a straight on the flop beaten by a flush on the river every other hand
And I don't know that any regulatory body exists. There is a fairly recent case of a site owner who was playing and cheating on his own site!!! (Mate at work has the details, I'll post on Monday, but you can probably google it.)

Ultimate bet was the name of the site. Not trying to call you out or anything but I just can't understand how you would know that "every single one is crooked."

I have been on the ipoker network before and I feel that Full Tilt is much better at simulating live play. The software is nice and there is a great bonus. If you ever join up, pm me. Maybe we could organise a vcdquality tourney.

There is nothing strange about these bad beats. I've suffered worse in live play. Pocket aces aren't magic cards, you know. I have seen lower pairs crack aces plenty of times. They are about 77% favourite heads up depending on the hand they are against. 77% != 100%

Who won the last one?
... Must have been me
I started playing FTP tonight and on my 3rd game won out of 18 players.
Ok i only won $36 because i'm playing low limit till i get better.
2 things.
On party poker you can just click the end of slider bar to go up in increments and on FTP it makes you go all in.
There doesn't seem to be a way other than grabbing the bar and sliding it for it to go up in increments.
also when i finish a tournament in party poker i can get hand history emailed to me but it doesn't seem as if this happens on FTP.
BTW i use texas calulatem for odds. it helps but you've also got to bluff and get lucky.
do any of you cunts use poker tools?

Get some poker books before you pay for any tools. Harrington's books on Tourney and cash games are the best around.
I use Poker tracker and Poker Stove. Also check out Chris Ferguson's article on bankroll management. Follow his advice closely or if you find it a little on the conservative side, there are plenty of other articles on the net.
I am a member of an online team.

I tried those gimmicks but It only guides you, you have to incorporate thinking into the equation.

Everybody knows that they are corrupted, the house always wins and they have their ways. If you are good at math then you know that computers can't do random. It's all arranged.
Played 4 tournaments today.
Played a hi lo by accident and typed I didn't have a clue what i was doing (they probably thought i was kidding on) but i was winning (i didn't have a clue, fuckin hi and fuckin low, what's all that about?) some guy said he was recording it cause a guy folded to me on river when he had about 80 chips left. that sad bastard should really get out more.
played a rebuy by accident too and couldn't be arsed with it, it seems to be more like poker on xbox 360, every cunt going all in all the time.
played another 2
out of 4 i got put out 3 times when i went all in and was winning until that slimy fucked up shitty river.

Yup, and in cash games (which I mostly play) they make their money from the rake. The the random number generator that full tilt uses is independently accredited and is about as close to random as a computer can get at the moment. I consistently make a modest profit playing ring cash games. I'm also studying Math and Physics at Uni so yes, Ekno, I know a little, ty.
