photoshop question

ok...so i came up with an idea for the new lp cover and i want to start working on it....the idea is a collage along the lines of this




the final size will be vinyl size of 12x12 inches....im finding pics all over the net i want to use...most are at 72 and some are at 300
my question is....will it be ok to use the 72 res fotos? and should i resize the 300s to 72?...or just change the size to fit?

heres something i whipped up in a few hours...its still up for critique in the band so its def initely not finished...im up for suggestions here too...

and as far as the pics go....most were at 72 though....will it print ok?

Looking good, although I would mention one or two things, if you don't mind?

The font, for the title especially, seems a little thin in places, it doesn't really stand out that much, and not that readable if your just scanning it by eye for a half a second.

The selection around some the parts seems a bit hap-hazard and 'jaggidy' in some places, around the cop's hat, and the bottom-left guitarist t-shirt. Not sure if this was cause its a WIP, but maybe a bit more feather or blending between the different images might smooth it over a bit.

The neater selection will probably help with the baby on the wall as well, taking out much of the white behind the child. Also, I suppose remeber to distort the baby image to fit the perspective of the wall
Are the band completly against having any colour in the image? It would not take much, but just like your original source, matching sutble tones just brings it to life a little bit.

As I say, apart from that, looking good.

since i posted last i found the vanishing point featue in filters and learned how to use it a bit....im not going crazy cause im gonna try and find someone with the lp that has that pic...the res on it distorts the babys t shirt too much...so i want a high res scan of it...also has the graffitti under it....

thanx for the tip on feathering...i ll look into it next

as far as the font goes i did notice that and tried to adjust...it is called charlemagne...although i like the text...it is already bold and i cant do anything about the thickness....are there any similar fonts...i cant find any
