Vicky Cristina Barcelona
Audio: 8
Video: 9
Movie: 6 (I just don't get Woody Allen movies)
this movie came with English subtitles but after a quick scan through I saw Penelope Cruz speaking Spanish at various points so I'm not sure if its intended that there aren't supposed to be subtitles on screen when she goes Spanish , or does this need a PROPER that includes just the subs for the Spanish parts ... confused? me too!
So anyone who's seen the entire release care to comment ?
When Penelope speaks Spanish there are hard coded english subtitles.
DKilnapp you're talking about the PUKKA DVDSCR of this movie .. there are no hardcoded subs on this DVDrip .. so you either have to have the english subs on constantly to catch the few spanish parts for Penelope , or you turn them on when she speaks .. talk about a royal pain in the arse! so unless there is a subfix for this I'd say the DVDSCR is superior
Mr. Sole: Thank you for correcting me. Right you are. The Pukka DVD screener is pretty near perfect as rips go so grab that one. And as I said, the hard coded english subs are right there. As for the movie, I did watch the whole thing and it comes off as the typical Woody Allen movie so much so that the characters at times sound very much like female versions of Woody Allen. That said, if that is your cup of tea, then you will enjoy this film.

OK Dutch. I'm done. My sincerest apologies for my error. I didn't pay attention to the NFO (since there was none posted) and I assumed that the latest rip was the one I was commenting on.
So you think I'm responsible for dragging down this site??? Give me a small break willya? I acknowledged the error and thanked the person for pointing it out. So I'll be a little more careful in the future.
Lighten up
9/9/9, great quality throughout
The subtitle issue didn't bother me at all: off all of the way. You're seeing it how Cristina saw it. I think if they intended it to be otherwise, they would have put them on the screen.

still can't totally view this rip ... the dvdscr was fine but this one has no subs for the spanish parts (the 2nd half of the movie has PLENTY of spanish dialogue...
