I've seen an MR2 -> Ferrari conversion and, to be honest, I could clearly see that it wasn't a Ferrari given the chassis size/shape. That may not be the case for all conversions though so it's just an opinion.
I'd be really surprised if Top Gear attempted to pull that one off on their viewers, particularly when the viewers are supposed to be motor enthusiasts... but who knows?

I don't care if they were fake. I enjoy the show. The polar special in HD was fantastic!
in my eyes this show "jumped the shark" ages ago....its turned into the silly little boys club.....who think there funny.....and the races/situations they get into are so scripted that i cringe....
^Maybe, but it's still funny

Especially if it's true, didn't think they would have probs getting any Ferrari on the show, but maybe 1 too many crashes huh
I have seen a wide body kit and the engine lid that would make you have to look twice and unless you into Ferrari serious it could be hard to spot specially if you got legit ferrari parts (from which i hear they hate)
Mr2 is an mr2, Ferrari is just something i want legal or not specially the new white 1
