Me wonders if they may change the outcome of nominations if it is true, i expect they know by now though art bookies are always quick when it comes to ££££

I do reckon Best Supporting Actor: Heath Ledger though alive or dead was an amazing performance and should get it, but that's just my opinion

All the winners in this supposed "leak" were the odds on favourites anyway. For example I think Slumdog was around 8-1 on to win Best Picture.....and that was BEFORE this latest piece of bullshit disguised as news.

Quoting for truth. I enjoyed that movie it had a nice, gentle "Forrest Gumpness" about it. Certainly one of the best movies I've seen in the last year (although that's not hard to achieve, most movies are fucking atrocious)

Benjamin Button was the only award contender I have the slightest interest in seeing.

I've never understood the mentality which insists "I wasn't interested in a certain movie before but now a bunch of geriatric cases in Hollywood have voted it eight awards I'm obliged to watch it".

Benjamin Button was disappointing. Nicely done, great make-up, nice costumes, well acted...blah...blah...

But would you really watch it again?

And for a Fincher/Pitt combo...Se7en...Fight Club...it's not in the same universe let alone the same planet as those! (Maybe unfair criticism, it's not a failing of Button, just an over-expectant hope of more brilliance.) But did we really need to see Gump with Pitt replacing Hanks?

I saw Slumdog twice within a week. And I would probably watch it again if it happened to be somewhere I was at. It's an excellent combination of audio + visual, a far better use of sound (and soundtrack) than the majority of movies ever make. It's fresh, it's in your face, it makes you pay attention.
