Also, looking at IMDB, and seeing Uwe Boll's name on a computer game movie, the 2.7 rating is to expected.

Uwe Boll, is fairly famous for purposely making game related movie flops.

From the Uwe Boll Wiki:

Boll is able to acquire funding thanks to German tax laws that reward investments in film. The law allows investors in German-owned films to write off 100% of their investment as a tax deduction; it also allows them to invest borrowed money and write off any fees associated with the loan. The investor is then only required to pay taxes on the profits made by the movie; if the movie loses money, the investor gets a tax writeoff.

Awful movie, really really bad.
But what are you talking about, those german tax-laws?
Isn't it like that everywhere?
If you loose money on some business, you can make a tax writeoff of course, and if you make money, you pay tax on the profix, while writing off expenses for loans and gear and all other expenses you've had.

Is that special for germany, or did I miss something???
