New guitar

I'm in the process of getting hardware together for another Les Paul that I'm going to build later this year. Its going to be another hand built hand painted Brandoni slimline , I'm going to use the artwork from the pink fairies never never land cover.

Knowing that some of you are guitar savvy I'm looking for suggestions for the pickups/pickup configurations as I'm looking for something a bit different.

You haven't mentioned what style of music you'll be playing or whether you'll be playing rhythm or lead.

I don't play(I used to play rhythm acoustic,bad arthritis in my hands so I can't grip the strings anymore) I am building it for my son who is a really good guitarist his styles are Iommi and Blackmore based he already has a US 1983 model strat, an Iommi Signature SG ,a Slash signature Les Paul and the Les Paul I built for him last year with the SD P-rails pick ups Just lately he's been playing a lot of Neil Young stuff so I was thinking about going down the distortion route.
