Sci-fi Pirate Movie.

Has anyone ever seen the Treasure Island story retold in a sci-fi setting? I saw it when I was a kid so must be from the eighties or early nineties. I've searched for it everywhere but as my memory of it is sketchy, I'm getting nowhere.

They did do this on lost in space in the sixties the treasure turned out to be iron and lead , don't know if this helps tho.

Edit> this series did get repeated in the late seventies.

Cheers guys. Those aren't it. I entered in a combination of "Treasue Island, Lost in Space and other search terms and found it by accident though.

Space Island is the name of the flick. It stars anthony Quinn as Long John Sillver in a "A space age version of Treasure Island. . Instead of ships, there are spaceships, and instead of an island, there is a planet. This version also includes androids, laserweapons and skeletal remains of colossal space beasts." Awesome

Disney remade it as Treasure Planet in 2002. Gonna buy the original Vhs on amazon.
