Recording a live voice call?

without going into too much detail on the reasons why...
i need the option to record voice calls on my iPhone.
Version 2.2.1 (5h11)
Modem Firmware 02.30.03
what little research I've done point toward my needing to jailbreak.

circumstances dictate i need a swift response to this, hence posting here.
ill shift it to a different sub-forum in a few hours.

thanks guys ( n gals)

Yeah, you'll need to jailbreak the bitch and grab an app called iSpoof... It lets you record calls, fake caller ID and various other stuff.

You should've asked Neversoft

No matter the circumstance, isn't it right that you have to alert people to the fact it is being recorded?

I think you need to tell them court or not, but you don't have to ask their permission - they can of course choose to hang up. I can't remember if it's the privacy or telco laws though.

Well, you never specified which country I've no idea though, I have a proper phone.

::EDIT:: But it says it dials straight from the phone/app, not some call-back thing and it also says it works internationally...

* Go straight to someone’s Voicemail. Don’t feel like talking to some people? Just leave em’ a message! Their phone never rings, but still shows a missed call from your spoofed Caller ID!
* Record your calls and replay them straight from your phone. iSpoof also integrates with you Address Book
* Spoof internationally
* Spoof DIRECTLY from the app! No call-back needed!
* Support for iPod Touch, just enter your cell phone number in settings, place a call, and you will receive a ‘call-back’ to your phone. Once you answer, your iSpoof call will be connected!
* Simple, easy-to-use interface with iPhone look and feel
* Best real-time Voice Changer

It says you can spoof internationally, I suppose some functions may not work internationally. Can't see why not but it's strange to mention only one facet of the technology.

cant speak on UK law but US law states 1 person has to be aware of the recording without a warrant (wiretap). At least this is how it was prior to the PATRIOT ACT!
