Torrents ok for rare or obscure stuff, because lets face it, your not gonna get busted for leeching; eg: "The Aggrolites-3 Albums{trg music release}"(a purely hypothetical example you understand)

No need to big up Ng's, it's best to keep them out of them limelight and let the masses keep attracting MPAA's attention towards torrent sites.

rapidshare/netload/obviously premium accounts...max your connections...join a good forum ie some of the best have 1 million plus members thats your search sorted

i agree with jingo on keeping the underground shit out of the limelight....let em all stick to sumo sites ....unfortunately blogs will be the next to get noticed(and are also 1000 times better than torrents for obscure)...ngs are still safe from the mainstream

I don't think the show i watch is going to worry to many,
hell it's already on youtube I just don't want to download pieces and glue them together.lol

Got to agree, years back when I depended on a closed torrent site the head moderator was a scene (member).

he posted the new releases faster than most of the scene got word of them

He doesn't mean the content, just where people download the content from. All underground releases make their way into the public domain at some point.

If a billion people download them using torrents and only a million get them from news servers it stands to reason that the focus of anti piracy officials will be torrent sites. Since everytime a torrent site gets taken down a new one pops up I think it's in all our interests to keep their focus where it is.

tbh fits the frame..anyways i get my shit as fast as my bb connection allows..1 thing tho regarding p2p which i have dipped my big toe into...i couldnt watch a youtube video or bbc iplayer whilst downloading and believe me i only downloaded off torrents with a cloned 20 mb modem and it slowed my pc or wotever well up...leeching of ftps i liked ngs was ok but slow ie as in spent more time waiting on a release hitting ng's(im impatient) for me now rs/netload i get all i want as quick as the next guy,as soon as summit pres the rapidhare links etc appear straight away well if ya know were to look

Posted by carolinawolf on 05-17-2009 02:01 AM:

anti piracy officials are everywhere.
I have read about scene people being busted (on the news) not long ago when most of the talk was about The Pirate Bay being busted.
{before a mistrial because the judge was part of the MPAA}

not long ago a NZB site I visit said they were being harassed.

hell they are probably reading this.

so fuck you if you are.

tbh it took me years to realise that, scratched my head at the threads on vcdq years ago thought it should have been all for 1 and 1 for all but realised this site had to "condem" it

Not that harsh, the 215 copied discs he had were probably 214 copies of Star Trek and 1 copy of Fast and Furious. No matter how that article tries to spin it he is not a poor oppressed immigrant who unfortunately had his private pirate movie collection discovered. He was out and about selling bootleg movies for profit.

He may have fled oppression ( a debt) from his home country but it's his own fault he became a stereotypical pub warez dealer.

It always has and always will condemn people posting where to download movies. Its always been about rating the quality of scene releases, not about where to download those releases.
