What's this Tv show called

This has been driving me nuts I am trying to remember the name of a tv series from the late sixties early seventies it was about two blokes and a bird who nearly get offed in the Himalayas then get found by some monks then wake up with super powers .I think it was an English series tho if my memory serves me correct one of the leads was American.
