Unhappy Lagging while playing SVCD?!

Ok, I know there are some DVD players out there that cant display SVCD but all of theese which I have seen in action have just not been able to accept the disc....

Ive found a different problem though with one of my friends dvd player, it is a Panasonic RV-31 - It does accept the cd and it do show the picture and the sound, however it all lag and goes really slow unless if we are speeding it forward at the slowest forward speed, then the picture looks good, just a bit too fast and the sound is alright too then..... but that is just with some of the movies.
First I thought it was because of the quality of the cd, but ive tried with several discs now and nothing seems to work.

Anyone know what to do?
It seems weird for me that it can display it but just not proberly, plz help

I had the same problem on my Panasonic RV26....I tried re-burning at different bitrate to see what happened, but still no luck. Haven't had time to try anything else.

according to vcdhelp.com neither of your players support SVCD playback however some people have reported that they have been able to get SVCD's to play.

its not an official word but vcdhelp is usually pretty good with their info.

i had the same problem with my NINTAUS player when i was going to look on LOTR(SVCD).

The picture lagged and the sound wasnt synced.......

I did have same problem with VCD's and SVCD's but after a while i found out it was problem with the CD-R media i use, since i use cheap Lifetec CD-R's i can watch VCD's and SVCD's without problems.

I used Philips, Basf and Nashua CD-R's before

Oh i got a Audiosonic DVD player btw.
