apparently BT are blocking rapidshare and giving all the bandwidth to their vod and voip services , plus rapidshare have messed up by selling too many premium slots and having crappy old unreliable servers !!!! i found a way round it - totally legal so don't worry aboot anything , it was posted on a uk adsl site a few days ago just put this prefix http://195.122.131.250/ before your downlaod ( replacing the www.rapidshare.com bit ) and hey presto !

if bt are blocking access can i use it to get out of the rest of my 12 month contract?

Shouldn't think you can get out of your contract, BT don't make a guarantee that any web site/service will always be available.

I heard it depended which contract you were on with Option1 being the worst affected.

Also are you blocked 25/7 or only at certain times?

I should imagine they mention restricting access where necessary though, I'm not sure as I haven't been with BT for years.
