Mislabeled DVD Retail from Brazil, someone mentioned it in a site channel on irc... http://www.blockbuster.com.br/index...ersearch=186668 I don't know why they labeled it DVD Screener, maybe to make it feel like they got a 4th screener out or something or to get it on more sites but I see it being nuked anyways. *Sigh* We need more groups like UTi to properly label things... Nice quality though.

Converting? a fairy whispered in my ear that you are an idiot, this is probably ripped from same source and not a divx->svcd conversion.

Dunno about retail or not, but the qual is good for a FS (yes I leeched and checked) and its good until retail comes in two months or so.

How can you NOT know that it's retail, it's available at a brazilian blockbuster for goodness sakes. VideoCD just wanted it accepted on more sites because FS retail rips are frowned upon

Posted by mew on 10-14-2002 11:25 PM:

Shouldnt a FS DVDSCR be even more frowned up? Retail does sound better doesnt it? Im sure if its retail they'd have labeled it so since it even better.

no, dvd screeners are more accepted as FS goes, and another thing is the r1 release date is a month away so they can pull it off as a dvd scr but it isn't. nuked on a few sites anyways for mislabel and fs retail when ws available.

Still the best choice for the enduser, who wants a cropped screnner by TCF when there is a FS retail/dvdscr out with good svcd quality?

Same thing can be said about Austin Powers

Posted by mew on 10-15-2002 02:21 PM:

Yes it can, but this thread isnt about that release now is it?

That link about the new digital protection methods sounds funny. I wonder how many epileptic seizures it will cause before they cancel the program.
