it may be a vcd silver rip, complete with watermarks and multi-language subs... but the movies been out for a few weeks already and theres no other releases of it, so Im sure anyone with kids thats been waiting for this aint gonna give a shit what the source is.
There is a large series of 30 minute short films for kids based on these characters. Most of these are really enjoyable for children, and yes they contain Christian and Moral messages.
This film is definately not as good, too long, and not as funny. It will really be hit-and-miss with kids if they do not already know the characters.
who the fuck cares if its a silver, silvers are a constant source for new movies, why would anyone not tap this source, at least pmt is saving you the price of purchasing the silver, not the mention the cost of airplane tickets to asia. and silvers have been being released since the beginning of the vcd scene, they are not new, i remember when almost all groups were relying on silvers, it was a matter of who was the quickest to buy em n rip em first.
um...who cares if its a silver, they could have fit this movie on one cd...other than that, it looks ok, the kids will like it....and its free...its a Bible movie folks, deal with it, though shall not steal and all that i guess.....
edited..
i bitched at Swimj for his totally stupid nonn fact based ignorant post..
i removed it..
cause it wasnt a rating.. i normally only do ratings..
so well all i can say it even thou its subbed.. i love this release..
cuase no other group has done it and there are NO non asian dvd's/vcd's of this release on the market..
so this is the only possible release u can expect..
"i cleaned up my not so nice comment" maybe more people should do that
(remember this is HOLY movie.. so maybe that started me ranting )

Sure its good the groups are releasing silvers instead of nothing... Like u said (someone up here..) in the beggining of the vcd scene their was only silver encodes... But for a year ago, we had "internet" groups making their own caming / telsyncs.. All they are gone now tho (except for UTi) and now all the groups are releasing silvers again.. It feels alittle as the scene has been taken a step back

you all realize this is basicly christian propaganda....
right?
quite frankly, they should be paying *us* to see this
crap.....
I think the whole idea of "stealing" a film that is supposed
to instill morals in us all is somewhat ironic....
but that's just me
-DJ Theory
Ok, I'm a little fuzzy on this, so try to keep up: 1.) This movie is religious propaganda designed to bring children into the world of god, 2.) god believes that it's wrong to screw your neighbor's wife, beat up your mom, and to steal, 3.) releasing this movie online so that kids can watch it for free = stealing, and 4.) only religious people will download this since the rest of us know exactly what this is and have no desire to watch it or let our kids get pulled into this fanatical cult called christianity.
So to sum it up, if you're a christian and you download this movie to let your kids watch it, you're going to hell, have a great day!
:: its a vicious circle :P - pHo
I got this for a 2-year-old, Ive never seen veggie tales before,
I knew it had 'christian values' or whatever you want to call it,
but figured a 2-year-old wont pick up on that stuff.
But this movie is full of 'god' this and 'the lord' that, way too much.
Anyways, the quality...
the audio is very cam sounding, but its clear, and you don't hear anyone in the background at all.
the video is generally good, the colors are good, a tad over-saturated, it gets a little too dark in the darker, night-time scenes.
Theres 2 big problems, the video freezes for about 1/10th of a second every once in a while, and the camera only sees mostly the left half of the screen, this is very obvious throughout the movie.
Overall the movie is watchable, its generally good, and I don't think your average pre-schooler would pick up on the glitches.

this release was hard to find, now I see why, I wasn't checking
the christian ftp's, my bad
Veggie tales is Jewish not Christian
:: Racist crap ::
Oh come on now. I wasn't being racist. There's a difference between stating a fact and exaggerating a stereotype. I was stating a fact. The veggie tales said don't eat pork. I don't know any cults of Christianity that say that. So that's why I say it has to be Jewish. Would I want my kids to be singing along that God said not to eat little piggies? Not really. I don't want them telling me I'll pollute my "holy" body, risking hell, just because I like bacon with my eggs. Come on now... it's the 21st century - we've figured out proper food handling and cooking techniques - it's not likely you're gonna get a parasite from pork any more. That "rule" may have served a purpose for our ancient forefathers, and I'm sure it helped the Jewish people to be healthier than others, but not any more. Other than that, I like a lot of the moral lessons this video teaches kids, so it's not all that bad.
Well, I'm sorry if I offended you or anyone else. I didn't mean to.
Cheers,
Cryptomaximus
