I like the rules. Well since I mainly use XviD I still have some complaints about stuff. First of all I understand the sizing issues to ensure good quality but since there are some actionflics which have to be put on one cd because of the movielength they miss tha AC3 stream. Since we are at it why don't they update the rules so finally some DTS XviDs could be done. Those rules are from 2002 - I hope they do update them some time soon.

True

The rules are way outdated, especially the XviD and mp3 rules, they are not near quality at all.
mp3 is todays Tape and Xvid is todays VHS.

When you look at HDTV, and then you look at XviD (DVDrips) there is a big difference the difference wasn't that big when DVD was out, but now when we have HD XviD is shit. And you can't stop seeing the difference, if you ask me all XviD (DVrips) releases should be nuked

The same for the mp3, DVD audio is out and mp3 just damages you ear. Thank god some groups release internal FLAC it would be great if more groups released FLAC internally and too few groups release HD.

TDX rules need to be shined up. Right now it is quantity above quality and that's sad.

I couldn't see that anyone had posted the 2005 XviD standards so here they are.

Thanx for the updated rules...

I still have a question concerning the R5 source (with or without LINE audio): Is it or is it not a legit source?
First, I see no mention of R5 as a source (interestingly VHS is still there, and SCREENER is also there which has been historically used for silvers). I assume that R5 were not widely available in 2004 or 2005 (whenever the TXD2k5 "guidelines" were drafted), right? Also, R5 is not listed as a source in VCDq FAQs...

So what's up with the R5s? Are they legit or not? Are there newer TXD "guidelines" than the 2k5, or is there some "footnote" somewhere concerning the R5s?

Bitter, miserable twat.

Not being a close follower of the warez scene, I just wondered how long the mvid scene has been using x264/aac in MKV instead of Xvid/MP3 in AVI?
