pjeer?

pros for us
: none.

cons for us
: 30sec = 5mb. 20,000 people looked at Jackass sample. 20,000x5mb = 100,000mb of bandwidth. for one movie. you wanna supply that?
: its illegal. x69, me, phucker, cx, etc goto jail and get bummed by bubba. this is not a good thing.

cons outweigh the pro's in my eyes.

watch this space

if you download via ftp's you often get a sample to download of around a minute in lenght enough to make a decision. i don't think that the jpeg samples and member comments can be too wide of the mark anyhow apart from the few idiots who give unrealistic votes

pjeer?

indeed. a lot of people say "you can't judge shit from a jpeg" true, you can't judge motion or audio, but when you know what you're lookin for, you CAN judge aspect ratio, crops, colour accuracy, bad angle, gamma etc. i can usually tell off a jpeg if a movie is going to be bad or not.

maybe someone or some group could start a channel on irc that vcdquality could refer ppl to when they would like to listen to the sound.

I think that would be great....setup some bots...and just leave them on...now i got thoughts popping into my head

Instead of just audio samples just all samples and no full movie channels...

:: Do you realize how much bandwidth the Images alone take?
:: For example, the harry potter jpeg has hauled
:: around 4 gigs in bandwidth yesterday alone
