ge 5803p help!

I have a GE5803P DVD player (the 3-disc) model. It will play VCDs that I download, but when I make my own in TMPGEnc, they speed up and skip on my dvd player. I can't figure it out. I've tried everything--diff media, cd-rw, etc. Still nothin works. If anyone can help...i would appreciate it.
