Exclamation Equilibrium still in 1 theater!

I was visiting relatives in new york this weekend, I was walking around and saw a small theater playing equilibrium. I had heard that it was awesome from friends so I saw it ASAP. There were only 5 other people in the theater but I could see that everybody was like "wtf, this movie rules" by the end.

So I checked out VcdQuality and IRC to download and I could only find cam and telesync versions. I'd like to show this movie to all my friends, but there are no theaters showing it within 50 miles of my home and I dont want to ruin a good action film with a poor quality copy!

I'd like to re-iterate: THIS MOVIE HAD BETTER ACTION THAN THE MATRIX WITH AN EQUALLY INTERESTING PLOT (even taken in light of a post-matrix action/sci-fi film world). If you live in New York, I encourage you to go see it before it leaves this theater! If you're still interested, check out this great review by lorddusty in his post

I also emplore anybody who has an interest in the film to continue to strive for better releases since the official dvd release isnt schedule to come out until May!

Still want to get other opinions, please feel free to post any comment!

Moviegod, I see where you're coming from about the plot -- it was a bad composition of a bunch of great book plots -- but I thought the action was easily good enough to keep my mind off most of the plot holes. I came out of the movie feeling pretty psyched in classic action movie spirit -- good guys/underdog wins, cool matrix-like action performed by someone that hasnt starred in 1-million action movies (i.e. jet li, not to say that he's bad at what he does), and the evil villan dies! There were some nice plot addons that made the movie somewhat unique like the gun-kata sequences. I thought the idea of a martial art based on handheld weapons was interesting and certainly novel. Anyway, I'd like to see what more people have to say either for or against the movie.

I have to agree with you on that all the way. the last action sequance was amazing, probally the best I've seen. But I agree with MovieGod about the story line.... it was a bit slow, thoeI will defentally be buying this DVD when its released just for the action.

Crazy Theatre Seal

bigmike: It is too bad this film was a limited release. I remember when I first saw it on opening weekend there were about 5 people in the whole theatre . And yes I completelly agree with you on waiting to show this to your friends until the DVD is out, the TS is wicked quality and ruins the movie.

MovieGod: Sorry to hear you didnt like it. I usually like and hate the same films you do, so this is quite puzzling.
