Review: Below (2002)
As Promised to MovieGod
Below, was one of those movies that surprised me, from watching the trailer.. it seemed like just another submarine movie. So i didnt go into it expecting much.. especially what i actually got from it..
as the movie starts, a plane flying over the ocean.. spots a destroyed ship.. in which there are survivors floating. The plane is low on fuel and decides to send help. In comes our submarine crew, They recieve word that there are survivors.. and that they are the ones that are to assist the people. Upon picking up the Survivors. they realize that its not a warship that was destroyed, but a british medical ship, amongst the survivors.. is something that gets the men riled up,,, a woman. The woman then begins to explain what happened to their ship.. stating that a german destroyer fired its gun upon them...From this point on.. is where the movie stears clear of cliche submarine movie... not gonna go into it because it would be impossible to do without ruining the movie.. but lets just say, this is no ordinary submarine... much much supernatural happenings ensue.. and the story eventually brings together... one hell of a plot twist... Below is rated R for language and violence.. and is 105 minutes long
i would reccomend this movie, for it is very entertaining, and definately worth at least 1 watch...
