Signature Restrictions

As a recent addition to these forums I have noticed that there is a huge problem with people's signatures. They are often WAY too long or consist of images that are WAY too big. I don't want to have to scroll by a 15 line AIM chat every time some user makes a post. Nor do I want to have to load and look at a 640x480 jpeg. I hope everyone agrees with me... I say we limit signature images to standard banner ad size and minimal animation. Limit text to 3 lines or so. Let's say 1 line of text plus image, 2 lines of text plus image if it is half-height.

Does anyone else agree with these specifications. Or more importantly, does anyone important agree, ie: a mod?

Personally, i think that the nature of this site would make you think that its users have fat pipes.

And it's not AIM, you aoler... that made me giggle...

Jerk

You can turn those off in the "user cp" under "options". Just click the button that says no at the "View User's Signatures" question and you won't have to worry about people and their gawdy-ass signatures ever again.
