Even with an October release, and to get a fellow friend off my back. I want to know your thoughts of director Quentin Tarratino and his 4th. Feature Film, Kill Bill, which stars Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu. I have seen the movie already, but because of my commitments to the studios and my employers I can't post it as of yet.

Please, all your thoughts on everything associated with Tarrantino and the upcoming release, Kill Bill.

i dont know all that much about the movie but i really like terrentino and expect it to be a good movie.. reservoir dogs was probably my favorite terrentino movie.. although a lot of his movies are set up in similar ways.. some may be getting tired of those ways but if its a good movie and has a good story i'll watch it

:: shame for R-Dogs Tarantino had no thoughts or ideas of his own and basically stole the whole of City On Fire and Yanked it up with Hollywood candygloss -M$

I already posted a few thoughts in another thread, but I'm really looking forward to Kill Bill. There hasn't been a single work of Tarantino that I didn't love, from The Man From Hollywood, to the script/acting job of From Dusk Till Dawn. The guy just rules. I read the script for Kill Bill, and while I don't expect it to be as violent as the very good script, the gore factor should be pretty high, a must for this type of movie. The actors in it really seem to fit the script in my opinion (with the possible exception of Madsen (I don't see him in that kind of role), but he rules too so I could let that slide), and I'm not worried at all on that front. I'm not worried at all, what am I talking about. One thing that does make me go HMMM at is the next Tarantino project, I saw it on imdb, he's making a war movie with Madsen, should be very interesting.

As for you already seeing Kill Bill MG, I gotta say, I'm fucking jealous muahaha.

all i wanna know is how MG thinks he's seen kill bill because....it just so happens my work dptmnt is doing some work on this film. And i know for a fact there's only been a rough cut veiwing of the film and i know where it was and who was there. Its not the first time there's been misinformation on these boards about these kinda things. Flame away all you want i dont really care and if you did really see it MG my apologies because you must know me in person

Q.T. Rocks, as well as most of all of his films. Res Dogs is definately his best work imho. Looking forward to Kill Bill (mmm Uma and Lucy together..) and some kick ass scenes.

BTW - rec0ded you sound like you actually know whats up, as opposed to someone who wants to look cool by posting they've seen an unreleased movie...

... it smells cheap Charlies Angels perfume from it, but god I hope that's not true

There's been so much Marvel-like shit hitting the silver screen lately... sure, it would have been cool if it had some style or class, but the absence of that has been total (well, perhaps Matrix Reloaded was somewhat of an exception to that rule).

I hope it has content that stretches beyond slow-motion scenes and high kicks. I hope there's a plot deeper than the one's in My Little Pony, and I hope there's some style and class to it (which unfortunately most american directors lack alot of).

On the other hand, if there's a director to change that, Quentin Tarantino is the name

Kill Bills about Uma Thurman playing a hit-woman that wakes up after a 7 year coma to avenge the death of her fiancee at the altar. She goes after the 6 or so assassins involved at the wedding but they are all spread out around the world. It's filmed like a cross between 70's ninja and black exploitation flicks but with bullet time shots, sounds pretty fuggin perfect to me. QT owns u all. I think its gonna be his more goofy-style side of 70's exploitation cheese his production company hs been buying and re-releasing. I love all his films (and his cameos are jokes) and if u dont like his movies, youre prolly the type of person that doesnt like to read subtitles.

Hmmmmmm, this might not be such a great idea. Seems that Uncle Harvey at Miramax has decided to break this movie up into two parts (ala Matrix, Lord of the Rings, etc....).

KILL BILL gets chopped into two

It was first rumored to be happening last week in the pages of Entertainment Weekly and now Variety has confirmed it: Quentin Tarantino's KILL BILL will be broken up into two separate movies. The first part of KILL BILL will open in theaters on October 10, with the second to come out at some unspecified date.

Now the big question that everyone will be wondering is: will audiences pay to see a two-part movie? And how long will Miramax, the studio releasing KILL BILL, wait until releasing the conclusion? Variety also raises another interesting conundrum: will the contracts for Uma Thurman and the other principal actors in the film now have to renegotiate their contracts to factor a two-film deal?


If the gamble works for Tarantino and Miramax they could effectively double their money. At least the fans will get a three-hour jolt of new Tarantino crime noir action instead of just one trimmed flick.
