Looking for a Good and Cheap dvd player.

I'ved been reading around for a while now, but i might be getting a little confused about what players are good and which ones are not.

- Heres the lay down, I'ved been using my ps2 to play dvd's and it's just not cutting it, won't play a bunch of them and there just fine. Some are probly pal and my unit doesn't want to play them. i would also want to play the vcd/svcd releases so i don't have to watch them on my pc also.

here's what I'm looking for

- CHEAP just a basic player that does the job GOOD.

- Will play dvds from others regions and pal dvds fine. I'm in USA so NTSC region is what i'm in.

- will play all the regular scene releases just fine, svcd, vcd.

compact size, gotta hide this baby ;-)))

and being able to play DVD rw +- & cdrw, cdr. but that should be typtical

thanks for all your help, do you think they would get suspecious if I bought some dvd's along with it.....

mod? no! asshole? yes!

go for an apex 1110W, or an ad1225

both are compact, less than 50dollars, and will play anything...

dvdrhelp.com has lists of all players and what they can do...

also, why would someone be suspicious if you bought dvds with a dvd player? i think you would garner more attention if you bought dvds with a toaster or something...
