Good job! Once again here are the blanks neglected to be mentioned in the NFO (ie: bitrates).
First, there is an extra, a single trailer of Man On Fire... Personally I REALLY don't know why they put trailers on, but SURE, why not. Trailer is only like 80 megs. Definitely didn't hurt the release at all (trailer was maybe even downsampled).
Video bitrate is 3500kbit/sec from my calculations. Not bad at all for a movie this long (138mins12sec). From the reviews of the retail, they had an exceptional flawless video feed to work with, so the video here is as good as you'll get on DVD-R.
NOTE: This MOVIE is REALLY REALLY bit rate demanding. Complex scenes in the water (ie: the whole movie), rain and other crazy fast paced scenes with particles flying all over the place bring the bitrate down to 800kbit/sec sometimes!! This isn't the fault of boozers though (well, the bias could have been set higher for a better balance, BUT then you'd have lesser quality still scenes). Some scenes suffer alot (dark/grey scenes especially) with serious artifacting. But there is just not enough bit rate to go around here.
Audio is a direct rip. DTS and French were cut out (thank you!). The menu you can still SELECT DTS, but 5.1 will kick it either way.
Very good job overall!
Video 7.5/10 - Nothing you can really do to help this. Water is downsampling enemy number 1.
DVD-R 9.5/10 - Hehe, trailer was there... Only thing I would have killed (80 more megs to help the bit rate up an additional 75kbit/sec ) Can't complain though!!
