A DVD+-R DL section???

I cant help but to wonder...with the arrival of DVD+R DLs, the DVD Forum (the "-R" people) will soon release their own DVD-9. When they do come out with that, DVD copying would be a whole lot easier . Would that mean that VCDQuality will split the DVD-R section between DVD-5 and DVD-9, or would that still be one section?

It would make more sense just to create a new icon for DVD9

In your face!

yea just have a disk with a 5 or a 9 in the middle of it or in the bottom corner like there is for # of disks, but i imagine that in the beginning there wont be a huge rush to release 8+ GB movies

All DVDR releases will burn on DVD-R or +R. The DVDR scene isn't -R only, the releases are compatible for -R/-RW/+R/+RW.

pjeer?

medias gotta be affordable for the scene to adopt to it. atm its not. not by a long way. when it is, there's gonna be a riot as the ability to create a dupe of a DVD will be so easy anyone could do it. it has the potential to destroy the scene due to the ease, can you imagine the amount of shitty groups that are gonna pop up? i can. its gonna be hell.
